Step 5 | Project Designer Walkthrough
The final check before installation—clarity, precision, and no missed details
Before installation begins, one of our in-house Project Designers will visit your home for a final walkthrough. This visit ensures that everything we've proposed matches your expectations—and that nothing has been overlooked.
At SumZero Energy Systems, we believe this hands-on step is essential. It’s where vision becomes reality, and any last-minute questions or adjustments are addressed before a single tool comes out of the van.

Finalizing System Placement and Details
Your Project Designer will:
- Confirm the placement of indoor and outdoor units
- Review accessibility for install crews
- Verify electrical and mechanical requirements
- Identify any obstacles that could affect installation flow
This is also your chance to review visual elements and preferences—like how visible an indoor unit will be, or the best location for condensate lines or outdoor equipment.
Resolving Questions Before Work Begins
Your Designer can:
- Clarify proposal details in-person
- Confirm your preferences on unit location or equipment height
- Walk through areas that will be impacted by installation
- Communicate any changes directly to the installation team
This visit acts as a bridge between planning and execution, ensuring you feel confident before the work begins.
Why This Step Matters
HVAC installs often go wrong when assumptions are made. This walkthrough eliminates that risk. Our Project Designer isn’t there to sell you more—it’s their job to verify everything, so your home is prepared, and your installation team has exactly what they need to deliver a clean, efficient job.
Did You Know?
Our Project Designers are former installers and system specialists—not salespeople. That means they understand how the system will actually be built and what matters most to homeowners before installation begins.
We Build Systems Around You—Not Around Guesswork
The walkthrough is short, but powerful. It’s how we stay proactive, precise, and prepared. And it's one more reason our customers feel confident from start to finish.
